I Wish Every Night Was Saturday Night

I've always liked the idea of "answer songs", which happened often in the 50's, so I thought I'd write my own for the "Saturday Night" song on our first CD. I had enormous difficulty with the verses though, I kind of fenced myself in with the chorus lyric and/or general idea somehow. It took ages to get it together. Not 100% happy with the mix, I wanted a looser feel and the vocal are a bit low I feel.

I hate that you spend ages recording and mixing it and you realize after that you've only got it 9 out of 10, just a couple of things not 100%, then it's too bloody late.... bugger.... such is life.

But it's a fun song with one of my straightest slide solos, I just felt it needed to be very Un-guitar hero.

I like that fact that the song mentions that Sunday is the first day of the week... that's been forgotten these days!
