Drinkin'

Notes

This comes from two quotes, a guy I worked with 30 years ago (I ain't gonna drink any more, but I ain't gonna drink any less) and Winston Churchill (I've taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me). It amazes me sometimes how far back you can dig for a line or an idea. You never know where a song can come from, a real mystery.

Lyrics

There ain't no curbin', my drinkin' of Bourbon
You ain't gonna win, with my sippin' of Gin
You gonna have to cope, with what I mix with my Coke
Ain't gonna stop the fun, when I'm drinkin my Rum

I ain't gonna drink any more, but there's one thing I must confess
I ain't gonna drink any more, but I ain't gonna drink any less

Let me give you some advice, about a glass full of ice
I take a little shot, because it helps me a lot
I don't drink as a rule, more like a habit you see
I've taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me
