I Married Dizzy Miss Lizzy

Notes

Well, I had 11 songs for the CD and I needed 12. I always liked that guitar lick for Larry Williams' "Dizzy Miss Lizzy", so I recorded a backing track with it and figured I'd write a song around it. Well, I couldn't do it. I came up with nothing. So I thought I'd write an "answer" song like they did in the 50's... whenever there was a HIT in the 50's someone would write an "answer" song like Peggy Sue - Peggy Sue Got married, Diana- Remember Diana. So here it is, a bit of a one off thing for Misipi. We have never played it, I can't really play that guitar lick and sing at the same time. So enjoy... and if you don't, go back to track 1 and start all over again!!!

Lyrics

Remember Dizzy Miss Lizzy, she use to rock n’ roll
She make me dizzy that Lizzy, when She’d do the stroll
Remember Dizzy Miss Lizzy, she loves me now I growing  old

She use to give me fever, she’d put her little hand in mind
She make me dizzy that Lizzy, Oh man she you looked so fine
Just a rockin’ & a rollin’, girl I’m glad that you are mine

I married  Dizzy Miss Lizzy, now she’s got my name
Ooh baby, You still drive me insane
C’mon C’mon C’mon Lizzy, I’m happy I’m your married man

You make me Dizzy Miss Lizzy, the way you me rock n’ roll
You make me dizzy Miss Lizzy, when you do the stroll
C’mon Miss Lizzy, love me ‘fore I grow too old

Remember Dizzy Miss Lizzy, she use to rock n’ roll
She make me dizzy that Lizzy, when she’d do the stroll
I want to thank you Miss Lizzy, I love you me now I growing  old
